![]() ![]() When you are ready, press this button again to finish the process of editing. If user select valid position, script builds preview of the edited tree and opens parameters on the right side of the button. ![]() When pressed, script asks user to select position for the preview of the tree. Button – Use this button to edit your trees. If button is on, Button finishes process of editing and build edited tree. To stop building trees, press right mouse button or Escape. Button -With this button, if button is off, you can build multiple trees and each time script will randomly change parameters of the tree based on Variations parameters. Assign keyboard shortcut to “ATree3D” from “Keyboard” tab or from “Toolbar” tab drag and drop “ATree3D” to a new or existing toolbar to create UI button for the script (for Windows 7 or Vista you may need to run 3ds max as administrator). To add a keyboard shortcut or toolbar button go to 3ds Max menu, select: Customize > Customize User Interface… > in “Keyboard” or “Toolbar” tab select Group: Main UI and Category: AvizStudioTools.Download, extract and install the latest version.There are a bunch of icons to choose from. Just right click the button and select Edit Button Appearance. Once the button is created you can change the text and add a logo instead if you want. Then just locate "MyScripts" and drag and drop the Free Up Memory Action to your Toolbar (Fig.05). To add the script to a button all you have to do is right-click in the Toolbar and select Customize (Fig.04). (In older versions of Max the Evaluate All is under File in the menu). Once the script is open you have to run the Menu > Evaluate all (Ctrl-E) from the MAXScript menu bar. All you have to do is open the script and then instead of run, you select open and load the script (Fig.03). ![]() If you want a more permanent solution you can create a button on your Toolbar with the script. ![]() Once saved, just run the script from the MAXScripts menu in 3ds Max (Fig.02) I put all three functions into a small script you can run instead of manually typing it in every time ("FreeMem.mcr"). ![]()
